As the Burns' Day Storm, also known as cyclone Daria, raged across North-Western Europe, Constant channeled its raw energy into his watercolors. The tempest's gusty winds and flying debris found a reflection in his dynamic spatters and faint silhouettes of people and objects. This devastating storm, one of Europe's most powerful, carved a path of destruction, especially impacting the Netherlands and Belgium.
