After the dissolution of CoBrA, Stephen Gilbert, a fellow member of the movement, went on to experiment with abstract shapes in space that resulted in metal space constructions. Constant was going through a similar development and it was Gilbert who motivated him to start working in 3D — the result was this work. It led to an intensification of their contact.

Reconstruction of the design suggestion by Gerrit Rietveld and Constant at the installation Kleurenharmonie in uw woning (Harmony of color in your home) for the exhibition Constant. Color + Space at the Cobra Museum for Modern Art in Amstelveen in 2016.
The installation was part of the exhibition Ons Huis – Ons Thuis at department store de Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, February 1954.

Production is attributed to Asmeta Assendelftse metaalwarenfabriek based on oral information without the documentation to support it. Used in the exhibition Ons Huis - Ons Thuis for which Rietveld en Constant created a design suggestion for an appartment.
