A gathering of the members of the Høst group and De Experimentele Groep in Holland, most likely in preparation for the exhibition Internationale Tentoonstelling van Experimentele Kunst at the Stedelijk Museum in November of that year. On the wall, partly visible, is Constant's painting "Witte vogel", 1948. Constant was secretary of De Experimentele Groep in Holland and his living room often the head quarters for the meetings.
