A unique album of 12 original sketches & texts by Constant and 13 photo's of the painting The Trial by Victor E. Nieuwenhuys bound together by Boekbinderij van de Woestijne in Middelburg. In his texts Constant uses quotes from Baudelaire.

The Trial was painted between March 1st and September 1st 1978, oil on linnen, 185 x 275 cm.

      Circa 1980
      Comte de Lautréamont is pseudonym for Isidore Lucien Ducasse (Montevideo, Urugay), 04 April 1846 to 24 November 1870. He was a French author and poet and an important forerunner of Surrealism. In 1868 he wrote Les Chants de Maldoror (a poetic novel).
