De Poort van Constant (Constant's Gate) marking the entrance of sportspark Ookmeer, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1963

For a long time the structure remained nameless.In 2011, Rita Doets, an employee of city department Nieuw-West, lifted the construction from its anonymity by bequeathing money in her will to construct a sign for the gate. The gate was named De Poort van Constant (The Gate of Constant). Unfortunately Rita passed away before the sign was made public on July 21st 2011 on the date of Constant's birthday.
